1A. Parents: Make sure YOU read the website, especially the concert calendar for the groups your children are in. Concerts are mandatory.
2. Cases MUST be labeled with at least student name and phone number
3. Practice logs-#1 is due Friday. If you did not see it, ask your child. Additional logs are available here.
4. REMIND. Want to get last minute band info on via text message? Watch for an email explaining how to do it (some have done it already) Super Easy! Super Helpful!
5. Expectations: Must have....instrument, music, pencil, good attitude, open mind, ability to have fun....ability to work hard. We do random music and pencil checks.
6. Grades: P/F for 6th grade (keep track of %)....letter grades for 7th and 8th grade. We try to update grade as often as we can.
7. Email is the best way to communicate with me. I check email until late at night. In most cases, I will return your email the same day. It is very difficult for me to return phone calls promptly. Most situations can be handled via email. Personal meetings will be set up as needed. I am usually available before school or right when the day ends.
Anything I do not get to tonight will be posted on the website by the end of the week. I will also email home some followup things.
Here’s to a great year!!!!!
